Born in Pensacola, Florida, but now residing in Toledo, Ohio, Ruby is a by-product of southern teachings and Christian values. She was educated in the public school system of Pensacola under segregation. She has earned an Associate of Arts degree in Business Communications; a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Relations; and a Master Of Education degree in Educational Technology and Human Resources Training and Development. She has over 25 years experience in the telecommunications field by way of employment at Southern Bell Telephone Company and Ohio Bell/Ameritech Telephone Company (currently known as SBC).In 1994, she left her employment as a Customer Services Representative to start RLR Enterprises, specializing in training & development. With Ameritech as her largest client, she worked for seven years as an Independent Contractor, training their employees and developing training packages. With excellent training consultants, working under the umbrella of RLR Enterprises, a reputation of excellence in the classroom was established. It was while teaching adults and troubleshooting issues surrounding effective and ineffective learning experiences in the classroom that Ruby concluded, " it is the teacher's approach to teaching/training that affects the dynamics of learning." This conclusion was reinforced when she observed the classroom dynamics in various public schools.Ruby believes that students, who may not sufficiently or effectively read a book, can easily read the attitude of the instructor. She challenges educators to check the attitude that they bring to the classroom. Remember, "your attitude is you and affects everything you do!"
